Preview of the ARDI project results

ARDI project co-ordinator, Eva Ugarte presented the project together with a preview of the results at the session for ovine dairy controllers and technicians held on the Artzai-Eskola premises at Gomiztegi baserria in Oñati.  The genomic assessment results were presented as well as the advantages of using test-day models to assess the composition features and ways of introducing the genetic value of Manech rams in the Latxa genetic assessments. The imbalances among the number of animals with data for the different groups assessed were also analysed: milk production, milk composition, and udder morphology, along with proposals to overcome said imbalances.
